選購合適的噴筆氣泵，並不只是比較馬力或最高氣壓。不同的噴塗用途、所需氣量、工作氣壓、使用時間及工作環境，都會影響你對氣泵的選擇。 選購前，可以先從以下五方面考慮。
Choosing the right airbrush compressor is not simply about choosing the most powerful model. Your application, required airflow, working pressure, usage time and working environment all play an important part. Here are five things to consider before choosing your compressor.
01 — 主要用途 APPLICATION 先考慮你的主要用途。細節噴塗、一般模型上色、大面積噴塗，以至較長時間的工作，對氣量及工作氣壓都有不同要求。 Start with what you plan to use your airbrush for. Fine detail work, general model painting, larger surfaces and longer spraying sessions can require very different levels of airflow and pressure. 02 — 氣量與工作氣壓 / AIRFLOW & WORKING PRESSURE 相比只看「最高氣壓」，氣量及實際工作氣壓更值得留意。合適的氣泵應能在實際噴塗時，持續提供足夠而穩定的氣流 。 Airflow and working pressure are more useful than simply comparing maximum pressure. A suitable compressor should be able to maintain a stable supply of air at the pressure you actually use while spraying. PMSTORE TIP 最高氣壓並不代表氣泵的實際噴塗表現。選購時，更值得留意氣泵能否在你所需的工作氣壓下，持續提供足夠而穩定的氣流。 A higher maximum PSI does not automatically mean a compressor is better for airbrushing.
03 — 需要儲氣缸嗎 / AIR TANK ? 配備儲氣缸的氣泵可以儲存壓縮空氣，令供氣更穩定；當氣缸達到指定壓力後，摩打亦可暫停運作，減少持續運轉。 A compressor with an air tank stores compressed air and helps provide a steadier air supply. It also allows the motor to stop periodically once the tank reaches pressure, rather than running continuously. PMSTORE TIP 如果你經常進行較長時間的噴塗工作，配備儲氣缸的氣泵會是值得考慮的選擇。 除了供氣較穩定，亦可減少摩打持續運轉的時間。 For regular or longer airbrushing sessions, an air tank is well worth considering.
04 — 使用時間 / USAGE TIME 除了使用頻率，亦要考慮每次工作的時間。偶爾短時間使用，與經常或長時間噴塗，對氣泵的要求並不相同。 Consider how often—and how long—you normally airbrush. Occasional short sessions place very different demands on a compressor compared with frequent or extended use. 05 — 噪音、體積與工作環境 / NOISE, SIZE & WORKSPACE 工作環境亦是重要考慮。氣泵的體積、運作聲量、散熱及擺放空間，都會直接影響日常使用體驗，尤其是在家中使用。 Your working environment matters too. Compressor size, operating noise, heat and available workspace can all affect everyday usability—especially when working at home.
